Vermeer Mid Atlantic's founder John L. Vos began his career with Vermeer Corp in 1964. From working clean up in the welding room at Vermeer, John began demonstrating equipment across the United States and Canada. And in 1969, at the age of 23, Vermeer sent John and his wife out to Maryland to set up his Vermeer dealership.
From a small shop in Laurel Maryland, Vermeer Mid Atlantic has grown to include 8 locations serving Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the Carolinas. All of which would not have been possible without our outstanding 125 plus employees.
The culture that John instilled from the very beginning still rings true today through our loyal and committed employees... "our customers have a choice, and we must go above and beyond to deliver excellent service to them". This proven culture has helped to put Vermeer Mid Atlantic among the very top performing dealers for Vermeer Corp for all of its 45 years of existence.
With an average employee tenure of over 10 years, it stands to reason that our success stems from treating them fairly and being a good place to work. And they in turn treat our customers in that same fashion.
Since 1969 Vermeer Mid Atlantic has, and will remained focused on Vermeer products only. This has allowed us to grow our expertise in service, sales and parts. Our training efforts for all our personnel will keep our customers... Equipped to do More!
